Graduate Admissions Project (GAP)

Phase 2 of the Graduate Admission Project is the build and release of the online application form. This is scheduled to be released for GAO at the end of August 2016 in time for Michelmas Term 2017 admissions, with it also being available to ICE towards the end of the year.

The main differences and key benefits of the prospective new application form and the current application form are as follows:

  1. The questions will now be tailored to the needs and requirements of the course and applicant, meaning that applicants will be working with a much more efficient and intuitive form.
  2. There will now be functionality within the application form for applicants to prompt, change or delete existing non-actioned reference requests giving applicants complete control of reference gathering.
  3. The new form will be revolutionised aesthetically to make it simpler and 'cleaner' in terms of the information available to applicants, making the applicant's journey through the form more fluid and less complicated.
  4. Application statuses will now be much clearer for applicants, reducing queries to administrative staff.
  5. With the information being gathered being much more relevant and accurate, the information being presented to the administrators and academics will be vastly improved.

Once complete, the new process will be as follows:
