Graduate Admissions Project (GAP)

The Output PDF has reduced from 11 pages to a maximum of 6, but includes the following additional information:

  1. A header on each page summarising the admit term, name of course, applicant name, application number and USN.
  2. A preferred name in brackets after the applicant’s name.
  3. Date the applicant applied.
  4. Whether the applicant believes they are eligible for staff fee discount (this replaces the previous question on the form asking applicants if they are employed 40% by the University of Cambridge).
  5. The course length (taken from GAObase/prospectus information).
  6. Additional options for academic history (possible number of previous courses extended from three to five).
  7. Character counts in free text boxes, including character limit.
  8. A provisional fee status (this is to give an indication and will be verified at the point of offer by the GAO).
  9. Country of birth.
  10. Language test results including date taken, type of test, test results and reference number.
  11. Whether the applicant agrees that they need to take a language test (this will be verified at the point of offer by the GAO).
  12. If the applicant does not have a language test, it indicates whether or not they intend to take one or ‘other’.
  13. Two separate questions ‘Research summary’ and ‘Reasons for applying’ rather than them being combined in one field.
  14. Skype address.
  15. Option for an additional phone number.
  16. Adjustment requirements for an interview.
  17. If the applicant wishes to return to a college if not accepted by their college preferences.
