Graduate Admissions Project (GAP)

 

The current electronic Graduate Application Form (GRADSAF) was introduced in 2004, and since then has undergone several major improvements including the introduction of applicant self-service, electronic document management, and electronic reference submission.

The technology is now due an update, and business processes need to be reviewed to improve efficiency, and presentation of the online application form for applicants. After careful consideration of third party providers and following recommendation by technical advisors, the decision was taken to develop a new online application system in-house.

This is a huge project that will take several years to complete. The project will be delivered in phases with gradual release of features and rolled out to different departments at different times where appropriate, to ensure a smooth changover and to allow more time for feedback to be incorporated.
